Darker On Black Series

Over the past few years, I've heard so many photographer friends preach how important personal work is.  How important it is to continue to define your style through shooting your life.  Your friends, your family, and why not include selfies!  Pushing your passion further and further.  Even more so in the past year I've learned my personal life deeply affects my work.  Earlier this year was not the easiest time I've encountered and I noticed my work becoming darker and darker then progressively lighter and lighter over 2012.  If you follow my work at all, you know I love to use the available light to really distinguish my photographs.Anyways, I'm rambling.  The last few months I have been working on a project.  I couldn't decide on a name, so I went with both :)  The Darker On Black Series.  I've learned with just a simple backdrop, and a little patience I can create portraits that I have truly fell in love with.  I have 20 or so in my queue; but this was the first time I brought my personal project into a wedding setting..and well..it was f'ing awesome.  I'll continue to post these, and make these, and love these.  As I hope you do to.Stephan & Kacy being beautiful--->
